Spencer Dakin Kuiper

In 2023, I successfully completed my Ph.D. at the University of British Columbia within the Integrated Remote Sensing Studio in the Faculty of Forestry. My doctoral research evaluated the capacity of laser scanning data to characterize important stream and riparian features for salmonids in forested watersheds.

My overarching interest lies in leveraging remote sensing technologies to map, quantify, and characterize environmental elements and processes influencing salmonids.

My research with the Salmon Watersheds Lab and the Watershed Futures Initiative will be dedicated to investigating the cumulative impacts on salmon watersheds. This exploration will employ a diverse array of remote sensing technologies to comprehensively understand the factors influencing these vital ecosystems.
