Having grown up in Vancouver, I have been lucky enough to access outdoor experiences in the mountains, ocean, and rivers (and everything in between!). However, it was a summer as a raft guide on a salmon-bearing river that truly sparked my joy for being around fish.  I’ve since built upon this in the Global Resource Systems program at the University of British Columbia. My broad interest is in the study and conservation of fish, particularly anadromous species. I am particularly interested in the intersectional nature of fisheries issues in the context of anthropogenic changes.

As the fieldwork coordinator, I will be supporting students with their research projects, as well as assisting the Lab Manager in various administrative tasks. I am excited to combine my passion for working with others with my experience working in research and remote watersheds in this role.
