Growing up in Port Moody, the salmon run was a big influence on my academic interests, which is one of the main reasons why I decided to study environmental science. My research interests are salmon related in general, which is why I joined the lab, as it perfectly aligned with my interests, but I hope gaining experience in the lab will help me narrow down a specific research area that I can focus and build upon.
