Growing up in the Fraser Valley, the great outdoors and its host of wonderful creatures have shaped me into who I am today. From swimming in rivers as a curious child to now exploring the forests of BC’s coast in my free time; experiencing the natural wonders of Canada’s west coast has always been important to me. Naturally, my love for our ecosystems in a professional and academic context was strengthened at SFU. Here, I obtained a degree in biology with a focus in conservation and ecological sciences. My interests are in the conservation of fish species in both freshwater and marine ecosystems. Specifically, I’m interested in the combined effects of how both human interaction and climate change impacts fish populations in marine and freshwater contexts.

As the fieldwork coordinator, I get the pleasure of assisting students with their research projects, as well as supporting the lab manager in an administrative setting. I’m pumped to integrate my skills in remote and urban field research with academic partnership!
