​I am interested in conservation, seeing research transition into real world change, and contributing to its advancements. I am especially interested in the study of salmon and their habitats: how they are both affected by human activities as well as how we might effectively protect them.

April has been a research assistant with the lab since the fall of 2021, supporting a number of projects including estuary resilience and cumulative effects.
