I originate from a terrestrial ecology background but discovered my love of aquatic ecosystems through previous conservation management work along the Seymour River. During this time, I had the opportunity to assist in transporting smolts within the Capilano Dam Reservoir for future release into the downstream Capilano River. This opportunity further solidified my admiration of the transformative life cycle of salmon and their critical role within our ecosystems. My interests include the evolutionary responses of salmon to anthropogenic activities and the development of effective conservation strategies.
As Lab Manager, I am honoured to contribute to the Salmon Watersheds Lab team through project management and supporting the students and other staff as needed.
